4 Rides to Check Out at The Island in Pigeon Forge

1. The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel

You have to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel at The Island in Pigeon Forge to see stunning panoramic views of the city and the mountains beyond. Riders are able to see everything, as the wheel goes up to 20 stories or 200 feet high. Whatever the weather, you will be comfortable because the gondolas are climate-controlled. As for size, they can accommodate up to 6 people! While this ride is ideal for any time of day, those who come at night will be a part of the 24,000-square-foot LED light show that takes place on the face of the wheel.

2. Tree Fall Drop Tower

If you find heights thrilling or want to conquer your fear of them, you should definitely ride at Tree Fall Drop Tower. Riders travel 65 feet into the air. That is the height of a cork oak tree. You may be surprised when you don’t fall back down to the bottom right away, but there’s more fun ahead. Jolt up and down and spin around. All the movements will make you feel as if you are on the string of a yo-yo.

3. Island FARM’n

Visitors that have little ones will love the Island FARM’n ride because there is no minimum height requirement. It is a round track, and riders travel on it in cars that resemble animals. Each one has a front and back fitting up to 4 people. The cars stay on the track, so anyone can “drive.” Little ones will love being behind the wheel like mom and dad. Make sure to bring your camera and take some memorable photos.

4. Lil’ Ribbits

Another ride at the Island in Pigeon Forge with a lower height requirement is Lil’ Ribbits. It gets its name because the cars resemble tropical frogs that are different colors. Travel up and down while going in circles. It will feel like your frog is jumping. The ride goes as high as 6 feet. That’s higher than the length of an American bullfrog jump which is 2 to 3 feet. It is sure to be a hopping good time!
