With that being said, here is a list of 4 indoor activities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg that you don’t want to miss:
1. Pigeon Forge Snow
If you love winter, Pigeon Forge Snow is one of the indoor activities in Pigeon Forge that you need to experience. It is America’s first indoor snow park. Visitors can play in the fluffy white goodness no matter what season it is. If you need even more reasons to love it, the temperature stays between 60℉ and 70℉. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about bringing a heavy winter coat. Thrill-seekers can go snow tubing and race down the slopes. People who want a more laid-back activity can build sculptures in the Snow Play area. When all that activity works up an appetite, you can relax and grab a snack at the concession stand.
2. Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies
Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is a fun indoor activity in Downtown Gatlinburg. It was voted “Best Aquarium in North America” by USA Today. If you love the ocean and the animals who call it home, you can get up close and personal with marine life like never before. For example, ride the Glass Bottom Boat and watch as 75 different species of fish and 12-foot sharks swim beneath your feet. Get a picture next to a live penguin and watch them create works of art as they waddle on the paper. Touch the smooth back of a ray as they glide in the water. Whatever you choose to do, there is never a dull moment here!
3. WonderWorks
WonderWorks is another one of the fun indoor activities in Pigeon Forge. The attraction will catch your eye before you even walk in the door, as the building looks like an upside-down house. Inside, there are 6 WonderZones that have a total of more than 100 hands-on activities. You can lay on a bed of nails and experience the weightlessness of space in a gyroscope. Other fun things to do at this attraction include a glow-in-the-dark indoor ropes course and a 4D Motion Theater.
4. Salt & Pepper Shaker Museum
The Salt & Pepper Shaker Museum is a unique indoor attraction in Gatlinburg. It all started from one woman’s expansive collection of salt and pepper shakers. As you walk through the museum, you will see over 20,000 sets of salt and pepper shakers that come in all different colors, shapes, and sizes.
