Fly Through The Smokies at Legacy Mountain Ziplines
August 28, 2013How would you like to fly through the air on the longest zipline in the United States? Located minutes away from our condos in Gatlinburg, Legacy Mountain Ziplines offers exhilarating canopy tours of the Great Smoky Mountains. With seven ziplines up to 2,500 feet long, thrillseekers will have the time of their lives at Legacy Mountain.
Safety and Security
Legacy Mountain’s ziplines span 400 acres of beautiful terrain at 450 feet off of the ground. Don’t worry if you or someone else in your party is uncertain about heights. Legacy Mountain’s staff makes every effort to ensure that their clients are at ease before they begin ziplining. Patrons will start on a very short low line in order to get comfortable before they enjoy the complete zipline experience.
Safety is Legacy Mountain’s number one priority. Zipliners are double clipped to a steel cable that is over a half inch thick and they are accompanied by two guides throughout their adventure. All of Legacy Mountain’s guides are carefully selected and rigorously trained on zipline safety guidelines.
Call Ahead and Bring a Camera
The canopy tour lasts around 2 and ½ hours. Reservations are required and can be made online or by phone at 866-774-3330. Guests are not allowed to take photos or record videos while ziplining, but it is still worth bringing a camera so the members of your party can document each other’s zipline adventure.
